Acoustic Resonance Testing
RTE Akustik + Prueftechnik in Germany was founded in 1986 and is specialized on acoustic inline testing of high-volume production. This comprises noise and vibration testing of components (including functional testing in parallel), non-destructive acoustic materials testing with Resonance Analysis and eigenfrequency measurement. Numerous successful applications in automotive industry, foundries, powder metal industry and many others document the benefit and profit of customers relying on the innovative, reliable and cost-effective RTE test technology. Safety components like brake callipers, sintered metal parts or airbag inner tubes are tested. Product and process state information is available to control the production quality online and avoid bad parts being delivered to the end-user.
The test system SonicTC operates in the sonic and ultrasonic frequency domain and detects cracks, inclusions and unacceptable deviations in material structure, density, hardness, porosity and others. Compensation of weight and temperature changes are possible. The customer is able to set up or change the test parameters for an unlimited number of test objects by himself. All tests can be archived and statistically evaluated.
