Motion Sensors Inc (MSI) manufactures custom and standard magnetic speed sensors (including variable reluctance (VR) and Hall Effect technologies) as well as associated electronics and cable assemblies. Typically these products are used in demanding applications and industries which include extreme temperatures, vibration, and shock. While your application requirements may differ, we use our years of experience in these applications to design robust products ideally suited to your application. Here?s a brief overview of each product type: Speed Sensors: Sensor types include variable reluctance (VR), Hall Effect, RF (inductive, eddy current, modulated carrier), and Magnetoresistive. In addition to standard, commercial grade sensors, we specialize in custom hostile environment sensors; cryogenics, high temperature and vibration, thermal and mechanical shock, chemical resistance, moisture, etc. We are also experienced in applications needing the protection of intrinsically safe or explosion-proof devices. Electronics: MSI electronics are primarily signal conditioners and preamplifiers geared to complementing our speed sensor products. However, we also design, develop, reverse-engineer and manufacture electronic products for application areas not related to speed sensing. Cable Assemblies: Our wire and cable harnesses and jumpers are custom made to user specifications and can include features such as over-molded or environmentally protected connectors, special EMI shielding, and water resistant and/or armored tubing to meet the most stringent requirements.
