Alstom will supply 360 cars for about €500 million. The option is a part of an original contract awarded on 31 July, 2002, which covers the design and manufacture of new R160 cars, spare parts and special tools. Rotterdam decides to extend its Citadis fleet with 53 more tramway train sets from Alstom 19 July 2007 RET, the public transport operator of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, announced on 19 July 2007 that Alstom has been selected to supply 53 Citadis tramway train sets, worth over €100 million. Delivery is scheduled for mid-2009 and will proceed at a rate of four train sets per month. The tramways will be manufactured at Alstom’s facility in La Rochelle (France). The contract should be signed in October 2007.
