Insight (NDT) are a Non Destructive Testing Company who
specialise in radiography.

This is performed in our eight purpose built bays across two
sites. Six of these bays have FLT drive in access and
overhead cranes.

This means that individual jobs of up to 16 tonnes can be
moved into and out of the test area quickly and easily
ensuring a fast turnaround on even the largest jobs.

The management team at insight (NDT) has over 40 years
experience in the industry between them, from the actual
manufacture of castings to the various forms of inspection.
From small aerospace components and medical prosthetics
weighing just a few kilos, castings for the petrochemical
industry through to large compression discharge castings
weighing many tonnes, covering techniques from lost wax to
gravity sand castings.

The level of real world knowledge and experience gained from
such a background is invaluable in the correct
interpretation of the various test results and clients can
be sure of a speedy and accurate service from competent
professionals.

All Insight inspectors are qualified to ASNT and PCN
approvals and work to a stringent quality control standard
which is being constantly reviewed and updated.

Equipment List consists of:

• 2 x 300 KV Muller constant potential x-ray unit.
• Iridium 192 up to 100 curie
• Co 60 up to 25 curie
• 3 X 6 MeV High energy X-ray Betatrons
• 7.5 MeV High Energy X-ray Betatron
• 9 MeV High Energy X-ray Betatron

As part of our commitment to the continuing demands of our
customers, Insight (NDT) has invested in the latest unique
state of the art 9 MeV X-ray Betatron enabling:

• Penetrating power equal to high dose linear
accelerators
• Radiographic inspection of thick or dense materials
up to approximately 350mm
• High radiographic definition
• Small focal spot size 0.2mm x 1.0mm
