Sinochem Selects Baker Hughes’ Cordant™ for Enterprise-Wide Asset Management
Posted: 2025-3-29
Beijing, CHINA – March 28, 2025 – Baker Hughes, an energy technology company, announced Friday that it has secured an enterprise agreement with Sinochem, a multinational chemical conglomerate, to deploy its Cordant™ Asset Health across 10 of its chemical production plants in China. The agreement represents the first advanced enterprise-level digital deployment of Cordant™ in the region and highlights its continued expansion into chemical and industrial segments.
Through the deployment of Cordant™ Asset Health, Baker Hughes will enable Sinochem to centralize critical rotating equipment data on its cloud infrastructure, improving visibility and collaboration across its enterprise. The solution will help Sinochem’s central diagnostics teams identify potential failures early, reduce unplanned downtime, and minimize production losses across the 10 plants. With a unified view across facilities, Sinochem will scale best practices and operational learnings to improve asset performance and drive efficiency at an enterprise level.
Industrial organizations today face increasing complexity in managing critical machinery across dispersed sites, often resulting in fragmented data, delayed insights and performance inefficiencies. As companies continue their digital transformations, there is growing momentum toward centralized data strategies that enable real-time visibility, collaboration and performance optimization at scale. In line with this, Sinochem is evolving its operations to support end-to-end value chain integration with digital technologies driving more intelligent operations.
"This agreement is a strong example of how we are supporting industrial customers on their digital transformation journeys," said Aravind Yarlagadda, senior vice president of Industrial Solutions, Industrial & Energy Technology at Baker Hughes. "By combining our deep-domain expertise with advanced AI-powered digital technologies, we are helping Sinochem deliver their commitment to building more intelligent and sustainable operations."
With a 100-year heritage of energy innovation, Baker Hughes is integrating digital solutions, such as Cordant™, with proven technologies to help customers achieve greater efficiency, extend asset life, and maximize returns. Learn more about the company’s end-to-end digital portfolio here.
