FAIRFIELD, OH; JANUARY 6, 2025: Professional NDE Services Group, LLC (PNDE), a recognized leader in Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) / Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services, announces the promotion of David Shock to Responsible Level 3 and an important part of the company’s management team.
In this position, Dave is responsible for overseeing the technical and certification aspects of the business while advancing procedures and maintaining the highest quality standards. As a member of the PNDE team, he will help support daily technical operations while contributing to the long-term direction of the company.
Dave’s NDT/NDE experience began in 1998, and for the past 27 years his focus has been on the aerospace industry. He possesses ASNT certifications in PT, MT and UT methods and holds certifications for major aerospace companies, including GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and SpaceX. Dave joined Professional NDE and Consulting in 2017 supporting clients with global UT Immersion programs for FAA LLP inspections. He was also responsible for developing and implementing CMC composite inspections for R&D and production. After an amicable departure from PNDE, Dave spent two years at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) performing POD studies for crack detections using UT and ET, along with developing a PAUT inspection for corrosion. This inspection development helped save the Air Force over $1.7 million and 5,800 man-hours per aircraft.
In 2023, Dave earned an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Nondestructive Testing Technology. That same year, he rejoined PNDE’s Services division as Responsible Level 3.
