We need a castings expert with railcar experience.

Will be inspecting complex railcar components.

We need a professional with extensive industry experience and knowledge (4-8 years) and a degree in a technical discipline or extensive technical training. A Senior Inspector is able to independently establish criteria with limited guidance. This position requires visual acuity and the ability to detect defects on complex products, as well as the ability to take corrective action to resolve a problem and make appropriate suggestions in order to increase product quality. A Senior Inspector must have extensive knowledge relating to industry standards, codes, and practices as well as local, state, and possible Federal requirements applicable to the commodity. A Senior Inspector may review specification requirements and updated Drawings for proper revisions. This position also requires proficiency in one or more of the following: reviewing purchase orders to ensure the
correct material has been ordered; reviewing Material Test Reports (MTRs) to ensure the proper material was used; performing inspection of fit-up and final welds; reviewing X-Ray film to ensure acceptance and any other test requirements; witnessing hydro testing and final dimensional requirements; locating various nozzles per drawing. A Senior Inspector may interpret final painting and identification requirements and ensure that all final documentation is acceptable for final submission.
