Responsibilities

-Interpret film & digital radiographs

-Perform process control checks & statistical process monitoring

-Write & approve procedures and work instructions

-Design, prototype, and implement nondestructive sensor systems to solve manufacturing quality problems

-Prototype early inspection development and bench-top validation to reduce risk for new technologies

-Interface with vendors, tooling and automation groups to define requirements, manage projects through to delivery

-Develop and deliver advanced nondestructive evaluation inspection solutions

-Understand and debug hardware and software interactions during design, launch, and deployment

Use field data to improve design and performance of NDE systems
Skills:
Core Competencies

ASNT RT III
High school diploma or equivalency certificate
+5 years NDT Experience
Previously Certified CR/DR in accordance with: NAS 410/SNT-TC-1A
Works autonymously
Good written, oral, and presentation skills
Experience training NDT assistants
Proficeincy with different NDT data acquisition softwares
Expertise interpreting 2D engineering drawings and model drawings
High competence with Industry Standards
ASTM, ASME, AWS, etc..




Preferred Skills

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, physics, or computer science
6+ years of hands-on technical engineering experience
Advanced Manufacturing Experience
Castings
EB Welds
Explosion Bonding
Composites
Laser Welding
Powder Metallurgy
Knowledge of a variety of NDE techniques such as ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, digital radiography testing, etc.
Knowledge of industrial automation
Experience with software and automation coding (Labview, Python, C#, SQL)
Experience with POD Studies
Knowledge of Statistical Process Controls
Experience with root cause analysis
Familiarity with JIRA or similar task/feature tracking systems
Experience with quality systems (ISO 9000/AS9100/NADCAP)


Additonal Requirements

Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends to meet critical deadlines when/if needed
Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run
Must be willing and able to travel to customer sites on an as needed basis, ~75% travel required.
