Acuren is currently recruiting for a Instrumentation & Control QA Inspector for Shell in Monaca, PA.
Responsibilities
At the direction of client, perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment in accordance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Submit to client technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition
Provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment, as required for safe operation within stated operating parameters for durations specified by client
Provide technical input to client as required for welding and metallurgical issues
Provide technical guidance, on a application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures
Fully comply with all Acuren and client safe work practices and actively participate in all site safety initiatives
Willingness to travel if needed

Skills:
Requirements
In-depth working Knowledge with instrumentation documentation, instrument / sensor technologies (inclusive of installation requirements / guidelines), control valves, loop check facilitation, function testing, SIS testing, DCS hardware, fiber optic networks, and networking hardware.
Extensive knowledge of pneumatic, analog, analytical and digital instrumentation.
Experience building loop folders in preparation for execution.
Experience with Advanced Work Packaging construction methodologies.
Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes through instruction or practical experience.
Understanding of commissioning and start-up requirements and systemization approach to project completions including inspection of packages (installation and test) and systems.
Preferred prior experience with Wood GoCompletions platform.
10 years’ experience CWI a plus
Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers
