ATI is currently seeking a Non-Destructive Testing Technician (NDT) to join our facility in Cudahy, WI. The NDT Technician position reports to the Non-Destructive Testing Quality Leader and is an integral part of a dedicated team who take great pride in helping ATI achieve production and quality results.
As a Non-Destructive Testing Technician (NDT), you will be responsible for conducting and interpreting non-destructive tests on materials, components, and structures to ensure their quality and integrity, following industry standards and company procedures. This role requires a thorough understanding of MT and PT methods, safety protocols, and the ability to work independently or within a team.
A successful Non-Destructive Testing Technician (NDT) is attentive and detail oriented, able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment and is motivated to quickly learn about ATI’s products, processes, and quality standards.
This is a third shift position from 11pm-7am, Monday through Friday. Training will be conducted on first shift.
Responsibilities
Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
Perform testing on various materials and components to detect surface and near-surface discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
Analyze and interpret test results, establishing techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
Compile detailed and accurate test reports, documenting the results of inspections.
Work closely with quality team, and other NDT technicians to address any issues or defects found during inspections.
Adhere to all safety regulations, ensuring that all testing is conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance NDT processes and procedures within the organization.
Skills:
Knowledge of other NDT methods and techniques.
Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
