Job Description: The Aerospace NDT Tier 2 Inspector will include the following duties.

Perform NAS- 410 Level II Inspections in all methods on civilian/commercial airframes.
Detailed pre and post inspection documentation using both handwritten and computer methods
Use of complex test equipment requiring a high level of attention to detail and inspection focus
Meeting directly with customers and representing the ATS and ATS family of Companies brand
Indoor/hanger conditions
Inspection of multiple aircraft component designs, sub-components, newly developed aerospace designs primarily on helicopters
Inspections performed in both team and individual settings
Responsibilities:

Perform NDT related inspections
Assist Level II and Level III inspectors as required
Mentor co-inspectors as required to gain knowledge in unfamiliar inspection techniques
Coordinate and assign other NDT Techs on customer related assignments.
Provide equipment and technical support to assigned NDT Techs.
Completion of all required inspection documentation in a timely matter
Perform various duties as assigned by the Level III and NDT Management
Independently perform equipment setup and operation
Perform system performance checks as required
Protect intellectual and physical company property
Prioritize under demanding conditions
Communicate at high level with other team members and NDT Management
Ensure proper tooling is in place prior to inspections
Protection of issued communication and documentation equipment
Arrange for shipment of required tooling to jobsite and monitor tracking information
Skills:
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

NDT Level II Technicians – Meet the minimum requirements of an NDT Level II Technician per NAS-410 in multiple NDT methods (MT/PT/UT/RT/ET & VT); provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method(s); have a working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes; ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to report issues and solve problems.
A&P certification, FAA certification/experience a plus
Ability to travel and work independently while interacting with customer and on-site personnel.
Prior Military NDI/NDT inspectors with more at least 4 years direct NDI/NDT experience PLUS civilian/commercial airframe experience encouraged to apply.

Work Conditions:

Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc. 
Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc. 
Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments. 
Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
