The Assistant Heat Treatment Technician will be responsible for the following actions/tasks:

•Provide assistance the Heat Treatment Technician with preparing a quality service.

•Record times that parts are removed from furnaces to document that objects have attained specified temperatures for specified times.

•Capable of learning the Heat Treatment craft and machine operation.

•Fluent in adjusting controls to maintain temperatures and heating times, using thermal instruments and charts, dials and gauges of furnaces, and color of stock in furnaces to make settling determinations.

•Able to repair, replace, and maintain furnace equipment as needed, using hand tools.

•Able to mount fixtures and industrial coils on machines, using hand tools.

•Capable of troubleshooting set ups on components before and during the heating process.

•Capable of handling laptop computer operation of heat cycles.

•Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs in order to complete chart documentation and associated document files necessary for projects.

•Any other duties necessary to ensure a quality and safe service is provided to the client.
Skills:
Required Qualification(s)

•Previous Heat Treatment experience preferred
•Electrical or mechanical knowledge preferred
•High school Diploma or G.E.D.
•Able to pass FBI and company drug/alcohol testing, Fit for •Duty testing, Ergonomic testing and a motor vehicle check.
