The Level II Phased Array Technician will be responsible for the following actions/tasks:
•Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
•Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities
(defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
•Establish techniques for proper examination of objects
under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety
regulations.
•Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable
specifications or standards and evaluate results.
•Organize and report test result
Skills:
Required Qualification & Experience
•High school diploma or G.E.D.
•Current certifications in UT and PAUT methods.
•Familiar with applicable welding codes, i.e. ASME, API, AWS, etc.
•Preferred to hold additional NDE certifications in MT, PT
and RT.
•Currently hold 40 Hour Radiation Safety certification.
•Knowledgeable with OSHA’s General and Construction safety
industries.
•Able to pass FBI and Company drug/alcohol testing, Fit for
Duty testing, Ergonomic testing, and a motor vehicle check.
Preferred Qualifications
•SNT-TC-1A/ACCP Level II MT, PT, UT Certifications, or
Documented field hours and classroom education that meets
or exceeds SNT-TC-1A certification requirements for methods
of MT, PT, UT & RT.
•Previously certified in Time-of-Flight Diffraction.
•Proficient with ES Beam Tool.
•Proficient with Raster, manual, semi-automated and
automated PA scanning techniques.
