Danville Community College is seeking applicants for the position of Nondestructive Testing Instructor for the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing program. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to delivering instruction, advising students, lab set-up and tear-down, monitoring consumables, and supporting curriculum development. This position will require a driven individual to teach in an accelerated, short-term training program. This is a restricted full-time twelve-month faculty position with benefits. Continued employment is contingent on funding availability, as this is a grant funded position. This position will work with the IALR offices.

Curriculum includes NDT methods Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual & Optical Testing (VT).

Skills:
· Current American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Level II in one or more of the following methods: Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual & Optical Testing (VT) (per ANSI/ASNT CP 189, Paragraph 4.4.1.1); OR
· An Associate’s degree in science, engineering, NDT or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience as an NDT Level II, or equivalent, in one or more NDT methods: Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Visual & Optical Testing (VT) (RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT) (ANSI/ASNT CP 189, Paragraph 4.4.1.3); OR
· High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of ten (10) years of NDT experience as an NDT Level II, or equivalent, in the NDT method to be taught (per ANSI/ASNT CP 189, Paragraph 4.4.1.4). OR
· Certified as a NAS 410 Level II in the NDT method to be taught ((per ANSI/ASNT CP 189, Paragraph 4.4.1.4)

NAVSEA equivalence per T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 preferred)
· Experience training and/or teaching in NDT or a related field.
· Experience in submarine industrial base
· Familiarity with NAVSEA Technical Publications as they relate to the current requirements of the defense industrial base
· Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) and experience with NDT of welds.
