The purpose of the Business Development Director is to develop market strategies in line with company growth, strategic plans, and market intelligence along with supporting specific customer driven solutions nationally and locally in conjunction with operational leaders and engineers to grow professional engineering and consulting services through the United States in a variety of markets.
The main duties include:
* Develop and execute a nationwide strategy for engineering growth in both traditional and non-traditional markets including but not limited to oil & gas, power, construction, and renewable energy markets.
* Build a strong client network and identify and target key target client opportunities throughout the USA for specific engineering solutions through business development activities, meetings, and presentations.
* Develop and execute strategies to grow engineering services in current local offices to establish a presence and diversify revenue outside of traditional markets and current clients.
* Deliver the Annual Revenue Budget for engineering by securing client orders in line with business strategy, budget plan and client goals working together with operational teams throughout the United States.

This position can be located at any of our Kiefner offices - Houston, TX, Columbus, OH, or Denver, CO.
*The target pay rate for this position in Denver is $125K.
**Other locations and experience levels will vary in pay.
Education and Work Experience
* A bachelor's degree in business administration engineering or related field required.
* 7+ years of industry related experience in engineering business development or similar professional services within nuclear, aerospace, renewables, and/or oil/gas industries.
* Demonstrated established client relationships.
* A proven track record of client relationships and contract awards in non-oil and gas markets.
* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
