Position Overview:

The Rope Access Level I Technician is responsible for carrying out duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner as assigned by the Rope Access Technician Supervisor.

Responsibilities: Included, but not limited to:

Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders

Have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques
Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of Level I Rope Access Technician
Ensure operational safety of all equipment
Assist with the set up and help calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
Help conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
Assist in establishing techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
Assist in applying testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
Organize and report test results
Perform specialized inspections
Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Some college preferred
IRATA/SPRAT Level 1 Certification required including proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling
40 Hour Radiation Safety Certification
Valid drivers’ license required
Valid TWIC required

Requirements

Complete and pass a DISA Background check
Complete and pass all required Drug Screens.
Complete and pass site specific safety council
