Industrial Inspection & Analysis is looking for Project Supervisors for our Facility Services group in Brush Prairie, WA.
The Project Supervisor serves two functions supporting the organization as a certified technician performing in field NDT and a project manager as the responsible person for a given customer, scope, and / or project. The Project Supervisor ensures that all work is done per the applicable certification / NDT exam and that their assigned project is executed safely and with the required quality to meet the customer needs while ensuring the quoted margins, schedule, and other factors are met. The Project Supervisor will work directly with a Project Manager, if assigned, and the customer and applicable business leaders to ensure the project readiness engaging others as required.
Primary Job Responsibilities
-- Accountable for safe work practices, audits of daily work permits, and performance of the / a regular safety meeting during project execution.
-- Ensure all team members understand and follow procedures to ensure safe and quality execution, and that all incidents are promptly reported.
-- Maintain contact with assigned customers / markets to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and market penetration.
-- Support regional sales efforts to secure new customer revenue.
-- Be the leader and primary point of contact managing all operational aspects of the assigned project / scope ensuring safe, quality, on time, and on budget delivery for the customer and company.
-- Meet with customers to ensure proper planning, execution, and closure of projects driving a proactive approach to service management.
-- Execute planned work and deliver assigned financial commitments inclusive of revenue, gross margin, cost of quality, etc.
-- Prepare bids, proposals, and estimates and review applicable contracts.
-- Coordinate and implement project specifications, to customer goals within the designated time constraints.
-- Identify and mitigate risks at the start of the project, mitigate those risk and monitor frequently to identify risks before they arise or develop into larger issues.
-- Monitor suppliers with Procurement as required including site visits to ensure the project objectives are met.
-- Track project costs as they relate to the estimate / budget. Identify areas of potential scope / cost creep in advance and raise up to company management.
-- Prepare reports daily and final project reports.
-- Lead on-site execution as required for the on-site implementation phase.
- Work with the management to provide proper training and staffing plans to execute based on customer needs.
-- Provide hands on NDT in support of customer requirements as per the specified certification and approved scan plan.
-- Complete post NDT reporting as required in support of customer requirements.
Skills:
Required Qualifications
-- 5 or more years of experience performing NDT in power generation, pulp and paper, and oil and gas industries.
-- Good interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and work across multiple layers of organizations.
-- Able to work and lead as part of a team.
-- Able to lead a work crew to accomplish goals and objectives established by management.
-- Familiar with NDE / NDT codes and their applications. Understanding of inspection methodologies such as VT, PT, UT, RT, and MT.
-- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to maximize efficiency.
-- Familiarity with and ability to operate self-sufficiently with Microsoft Office programs including skills to navigate web-based programs.
-- Ability to travel 50% to customer and supplier sites
Desired Skills
-- Experience in the industrial / oil and gas / energy industry with respect to system operations and plant processes.
-- Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma operational experience.
