Requirements
CGSB MT2, PT2, UT2 certification
CWB VT2 certification
Minimum of 5 years of NDT experience
Working language: French (English an asset)
Have taken the ASP construction course
Valid class 5 driver's license
Basic knowledge of Excel software
Be in good physical shape (climb, climb, bend, crawl, step over and maintain static positions for + or - long periods)
Basic computer skills (Office)
Ability to communicate technical information and popularize it as needed
Meet the minimum visual requirements of the CGSB / NAS410 / ASNT certification bodies (color vision, 3D, reading small print)

Assets
AEC in non-destructive testing or DEC in metallurgical or mechanical engineering
Understanding of spoken and written English

Schedule
Depending on customer requirements, typically Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Possibility of working weekends.

Place of employment: Quebec head office and travel throughout the province of Quebec. Teleworking: Possible for report writing

Tasks
• Perform inspections in accordance with the requirements of the authority having issued the certification of the technique used (CGSB, ASNT, CINDE, NACE, API, CWB etc.), taking notes, taking pictures, marking the areas to be inspected (drawings , measures)
• When present, communicate instructions and guide the NDT technician assistant
• Remain attentive to the client's instructions
• Record in writing and digitally any anomalies found in the parts to be inspected.
• Report writing
• Respond to customer questions
• Basic maintenance of inspection equipment
• Manage specialized instrumentation
• Apply the correct inspection procedures depending on the context
• Drive a motor vehicle to reach the inspection sites (sometimes over long distances)
• Transport the inspection equipment to the field
• Report any anomalies, failures, problems and difficulties
• Contact the competent resources in case of doubt without hesitation
• Ensure the compliance of its PPE
• Take health and safety training
• Participate in safety meetings and any prevention activity required by Torngats or the customer where the inspection is carried out
• Make sure you keep your certifications up to date
• Participate in information meetings (eg: in the case of an inspection under special conditions)
• Ensure the obtaining and compliance of work permits for clients who issue and require them
