• This position will serve as one of two Inspection Supervisors at the LyondellBasell Channelview Complex.
• This position is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of the site's Mechanical Integrity and long term stationary equipment reliability program in alignment with OSHA 1910 and corporate Operational Excellence Standards.
• This position provides supervision to the site inspectors and directs the activities of contract inspectors.
• The position is accountable for maintaining a high level of performance and productivity within the department.
• The position is responsible for providing technical leadership to the inspectors and is considered the focal point for stationary equipment issues.
• The position is accountable for ensuring that the site's quality assurance processes with regard to maintenance activities are effective.
• This position is responsible for managing the budget and personnel attached to the Inspection Acceleration Program and the inspection portion of the Corrosion Under Insulation program.
• The position is responsible for reporting metrics related to site Mechanical Integrity program performance and site risk.
• The position is responsible for ensuring that the conduct of the group conforms to high ethical standards.
Skills:
• This position requires a BSME with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience, 8 years or more preferred, or 15 years of relevant plant inspection experience in the refining, petrochemical, or chemical process industries.
• The individual must have or develop proficiency in the interpretation and application of jurisdictional regulation and industry construction/inspection codes and standards such as ASME/NBIC, API, ASTM, ANSI and TEMA.
• The individual must have a strong knowledge of stationary equipment failure mechanisms such as corrosion-under-insulation, erosion, chloride-stress-corrosion cracking, etc.
• This position should be familiar with fitness for service analysis, must be knowledgeable of NDE inspection techniques and provide timely direction and coaching to maintenance and operation to acceptable repair techniques of stationary equipment.
• The individual must have a high level of personal integrity and a commitment to conducting business in an ethical way.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident).
