ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
A minimum of 10 years experience in testing and inspecting concrete on-site.
Certification from the American Concrete Institute (ACI) as a Concrete Field Testing Technician- Grade 1.
Certification from the American Concrete Institute (ACI) as a Concrete Construction Special Inspector.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will present the following qualifications profile:
A thorough knowledge of American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) testing standards and procedures for placing, consolidating and curing concrete is required.
Proficient in interpreting design details and inspecting field placement of reinforcing steel.
Demonstrated problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Superior oral communication, written communication and presentation skills are required.
Must be able to obtain security clearances for restricted areas.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
MS Office computer skills.
