1 SUMMARY
1.1.1 The General Manager is accountable and responsible for all Stork business operations within the geographic area of California.
1.1.2 Must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to:
strong interpersonal skills to deal with customers, both internal and external;
effective verbal and written communication skills used in working with employees, peers, and customers;
leadership to build and sustain an environment where employees can grow and prosper;
project management skills to manage the process of providing excellent customer service;
broad knowledge of X-Ray, Magnetic particles, Liquid, UT, and operation;
demonstrated ability to understand, manage, and resolve a wide range of employee and cus-tomer issues.
1.1.3 This position is a Manager level and reports to the Regional Manager.
4.2 Experience Area
4.2.1 Demonstrated success in a leadership role.
4.2.2 Must be experienced in managing complex and sensitive issues.
4.2.3 Must have knowledge of determining pricing for services.
4.2.4 Must be proficient in standard office software and computer systems.

2 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1.1 Responsible for realization of delivering Operational Plan commitments.
2.1.2 Responsible to cooperate in realization of U.S strategic deliverables.
2.1.3 Implement and observe all business processes.
2.1.4 Actively share good business practices with other locations and regional team.
2.1.5 Evaluate the locations ability to satisfy customer needs for the present and the future and balance resources to meet these needs.
2.1.6 Provide guidance, direction and developmental opportunities that allow staff talents to be identi-fied and groomed.
2.1.7 Provide managerial guidance to staff on reporting needs and requirements. Review periodic re-ports and activities status, productivity, budget variance, and all significant business issues. De-termine if corrective action is needed and direct changes which need to be made.
2.1.8 Maintain current knowledge of corporate and location policies and procedures.
2.1.9 Provide positive representation for Stork and to the public, to the customers and to all employees through membership in professional organizations, serving on Company Task Forces, conducting employee meetings and visiting work areas.
2.1.10 Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal laws in terms of safety, environment and corpo-rate governance.
3 EDUCATION
3.1.1 BA degree, and 10 years of progressive management experience. ASNT certifications preferred.
4 EXPERIENCE
4.1.1 10 years of General Management background and must have operations and P&L experience in a fast pace environment.

5.1 Knowledge, skills, and abilities
5.1.1 Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
5.1.2 Ability to influence others towards action or a particular point of view.
5.1.3 Knowledge of operational issues and concerns of the location supervised.
5.1.4 Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and listening ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
5.1.5 Ability to encourage and sustain the high performance of employees and provide appropriate de-velopmental opportunities.
5.1.6 Knowledge of company procedures and processes.
5.1.7 Ability to accept responsibility for location activities and outcomes.
5.1.8 Must have excellent PC knowledge (MS Windows, Word, and Excel).
6 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
6.1 Physical Attributes
6.1.1 Ability to drive to multiple locations with varying condition, including but not limited to office / ur-ban, rural, and street surface conditions.
6.2 Working Conditions
6.2.1 Normal office environment with the exception of some travel to customer sights and other Stork locations.
6.2.2 Work week usually consists of 50 plus hours.
