Ultrasonics for Nondestructive Testing is ASNT's newest topical conference dedicated to Phased Array UT (PAUT), Time-of-Flight Diffraction (TOFD) and conventional Ultrasonic Techniques. The market for ultrasonic NDT inspection has grown immensely since the introduction of portable equipment: the last decade has been dominated by phased array UT; time-of-flight diffraction has been gaining traction due to the performance benefits when operating with phased array; and now research and development is being focused on these two techniques, yielding key developments for the field.
