I was wondering if anyone could help me regarding how to measure wear of two concentric shells which are contacting. I am aware ultrasonic testing will tell me the thickness of the outer shell which is exposed to measuring. However, the inner shell cannot be accessed without cutting through the inner shell. Is there any way of measuring the thickness/visualising the state of the inner shell?
