Bright Technical Services – Sweden (BTSS), a subsidiary of Bright Technical Services Inc. (BTSI) (www.brighttechnical.com) of Arlington, Texas, is pleased to announce that William E. Blum, BTSI General Manager and ASNT Certified NDT Level III in six NDT methods, has gained BAe Systems nominated Level III status.
BAE Systems in Wharton, United Kingdom, specification R05-6267 Nondestructive Testing – Approval of Subcontractor Personnel, Schemes, Level 3’s and Written Instructions requires that BAe subcontractors performing NDT and Materials Evaluation of 1) parts and assemblies, or raw materials for their manufacture; 2) parts and assemblies ‘returned to works’ for repair or overhaul; and 3) parts and assemblies in service, appoint a BAE Nominated Level 3 “for the authorization of its written practice, the technical control of its NDT facilities and for the approval and registration of NDT written instructions generated by the sub-contractor for use on BAE parts and assemblies.”
Mr. Blum is now authorized by BAe systems to perform the above tasks for all BAe subcontractors worldwide.
