Trinity Products was founded in 1979 in St. Charles, Missouri
as a steel pipe supplier with a focus on the heavy civil construction industry (piling, road boring and utility contractors). Management moved quickly to secure additional property in order to build Trinity’s first fabrication facility. Adding fabrication capabilities allowed Trinity Products to branch out into the advertising industry by adding sign pole and billboard structure fabrication to the product line.

In 1999, Trinity Products relocated to O’Fallon, Missouri and once again expanded the fabrication facility. Additions of automated equipment (multi-torch burn table, beam-liner, ironworker) allowed Trinity Products to continue to expand the sign pole and billboard divisions of the company. It also allowed Trinity Products to branch off into light custom fabrication. The company also added a drafting/detailing department to help in that transition. Shortly thereafter, a coating facility was added to address the growing need of projects that required paint or special coatings. Business continued to grow and Trinity Products evolved into a full service fabrication facility.

Ownership had always envisioned owning a spiralweld pipe mill. In 2006 that vision became reality when Trinity Products started construction of a new facility in St. Charles, Missouri to house a state-of-the-art PRD spiralweld pipe mill. In March of 2007, Trinity Products produced the first piece of pipe at the new facility.

With a commitment to continuous improvement, management has seen business continue to flourish for both fabrication and pipe production. On the fabrication side, Trinity Products has become AISC certified for Standard Steel Building structures as well as SSPC-QP3 certified for the application of protective coatings. On the pipe production side, Trinity Products has exceeded their own expectations with rapid growth in production capabilities and quality of the product produced.

Trinity Products currently employs approximately 150 individuals company-wide. Management is also committed to the open book management philosophy. Open book management encourages employees to be involved in the decision making process on areas that are directly related to their job. The company shares financial information at regular monthly meetings, asking for input and suggestions on current issues. Benchmarks are established and goals are set. As each goal is met, Trinity Products employees share in the reward.

All of the hard work and dedication to growth at Trinity Products has not gone unnoticed. In July of 2001, the state of Missouri recognized the company with the Governors Achievement Award for Economic Development and the 2001 Innovative Training/Workforce Development Award for the implementation of Open Book Management. In 2013, Owner, Robert Griggs was a finalist for the Central Midwest Region of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
