The secret to our success is our proprietary Duocel open cell foam materials. These unique materials allow us to design and manufacture components that meet engineering challenges not possible with conventional materials. We work closely with our customers, analyzing their requirements and applying our decades of experience to develop cost effective high performance products. If your high-tech application requires performance that exceeds conventional technologies, contact our engineers and we can quickly determine if Duocel can provide a viable solution for you. What is Duocel Foam? Duocel foam is an open celled reticulated structure with interconnected porosity. It is similar to a three-dimensional mesh and can be made from a variety of base materials. Metal foam, sometimes referred to as porous metal or metal sponge, is commonly produced as aluminum foam and copper foam, but can be made in a range of other metals including tin, zinc, Inconel, and many more. A variety of ceramics are available, including silicon foam, silicon carbide foam, silicon nitride foam, boron carbide foam, and a number of others. We can also make a vitreous carbon Duocel foam known as RVC (Reticulated Vitreous Carbon). How can Duocel Foam be used? The applications of Duocel foams are vast and limited only by your imagination. However, due to strict quality controls required to manufacture these materials, ERG has primarily serviced high technology industries in which the need for high performance components is justified. The following are just a few of the products ERG has developed over the
