We don’t fit just some of the parts, and “pre-drill and prepare” the rails to be fit and assembled on site by someone else. Curvoflite makes all their own parts (except some turned stock baluster profiles), rips and laminates their handrail material from one board of FAS Kiln dried lumber (best grade Oak) for best color selection, hand sands and shapes each rail so you don’t see the lamination lines, and hand-turns the posts to compliment the baluster style selected. Curvoflite is the only company still laminating a center stringer (beam) up the walking point of each stair for unequaled strength and durability. We refuse to compromise the pleasing design of the original Curvoflite stair, by continuing to stay true to the Old World technique of hand sculpting each stair from start to finish. Our family takes great personal pride in every stair that goes out our door, and we design each and every stair as if it was being installed in our own homes, so it doesn’t even get to the production floor until we feel it is designed perfectly in all respects. You can rely on our spotless reputation. We were the first company to nationally advertise this type of product, wood spiral stairs, in the Mc-Graw Hill publication, Sweet’s Catalog, the resource bindery for Architects and Builders. Curvoflite's first television debut was on WGBH's This Old House in 1981 with Bob Villa as Host. Our family then appeared on HGTV's Dream House in 1999, and once again in 2001 on This Old House with Norm Abrams featuring
