Deep freezing metal parts makes the internal structure more uniform, durable and stronger. Cryo-processing increases abrasive wear resistance with one permanent treatment. The cryogenic process is not a surface treatment. It affects the entire mass of the part, making it stronger throughout and dramatically reducing wear. The process keeps working for the life of the tool rather than ceasing to be effective after the surface is worn. Grain structures are closed by the process resulting in a larger contact surface area that reduces friction, heat and wear. Cryogenics is an exciting and important frontier that already has led to major discoveries...and holds much future promise. We use a state of the art computerized cryogenic processor. It is engineered for maximum performance and efficiency, cooling and heating in the same unit. The entire process takes between 24-36 hours.
