Their triplex, reciprocating design is the most cost-effective design for achieving high efficiency and low pulsation. Although CAT PUMPS do operate down to a ¼ GPM and 100 PSI, most of our triplex high-pressure pumps operate at much higher flows up to 320 GPM and higher pressures up to 7000 PSI. Our triplex pumps are available with liquid-end construction in brass, nickel aluminum bronze, 316 SS and Duplex stainless steel for compatibility in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications. CAT PUMPS are a triplex design with three synchronized piston [plunger] rods delivering a smooth, consistent flow. CAT PUMPS feature 90% overall efficiency and the triplex design of our high-pressure piston and plunger pumps eliminates 90% of traditional pulsation. The pump pressure is adjusted by the restriction in the discharge line and is controlled by adjusting a pressure regulator or a pressure unloader valve. CAT PUMPS triplex high-pressure pumps have been designed for continuous-duty performance. CAT PUMPS are liquid pumps performing best when pumping non-abrasive, moderate pH liquids including city water, filtered reclaim water, oils, cleaning solutions, pesticides, chemicals, seawater, dionized [D.I.] water, pharmaceutical products and some food products.
