Shearography - NDT

The shearography technology is an interferometric test method with which damage or defects can be identified on components under load. This measuring technique even enables detection of deformations of only a few micrometers
in size. Already a relatively low component load can thus yield unambiguous measuring results, which are mandatory, particularly for NDT testing.
The ISIS shearography systems of Steinbichler Optotechnik are well known for an easy and fast NDT-testing of composite parts. Thus material defects, which were caused in-service and contribute to the weakening of the component, can be detected reliably.


Shearography - Tire Testing

The INTACT shearography tire test systems from Steinbichler Optotechnik have been developed for the non-destructive testing of new tires in R&D and quality control, as well as for the inspection of tire carcasses in the retreading industry. The technical basis of the systems is the phase
shearography system. With the phase shearography technique - a holographic measurement method which reliably detects material deformations in the range of microns - faulty areas can be localized clearly and reproducably.


Surface Inspection

The surface quality of a product - particularly in the automotive industry - constitutes an important criterion for the customer and is generally seen in close relation to the quality of the overall vehicle.
With the effective and high-precision surface inspection system ABIS II, the early and complete detection of unnoticed defects such as dents, bumps, sink marks etc. opens up new perspectives in the quality assurance.


3D Digitizing

For the 3D digitizing of freeform surfaces Steinbichler Optotechnik offers two innovative system solutions representing a new system generation for flexible and mobile use: the COMET® systems based on white light fringe projection, and the handheld laserscanner T-SCAN.
Due to the intelligent hardware and software options, both systems feature ultimate performance for digitizing tasks in various application areas, thus ensuring an exceptional level regarding user-friendliness and data quality.
