We are seeking a skilled Nondestructive Testing (RT Level II) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting various testing methods, primarily radiography, to evaluate the integrity and quality of materials and components without causing damage. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to analyze results effectively. The technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet stringent quality assurance and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

Perform nondestructive testing (NDT) on materials and components primarily using radiographic & magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.
Analyze test results to identify defects or inconsistencies in materials and components.
Conduct quality inspections throughout the fabrication process to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively while maintaining safety protocols.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address any quality issues identified during testing.
Document findings accurately and prepare detailed reports on testing procedures and results.
Maintain testing equipment and ensure it is calibrated according to specifications.
Stay updated on industry advancements in nondestructive testing methods and technologies.

Qualifications

Proven experience in nondestructive testing or a related field is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with surface mount technology is a plus.
Proficient in using hand tools relevant to the testing process.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for quality inspection tasks.
Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes is essential.
Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers for precise measurements.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report findings.
Certification in NDT methods (e.g., ASNT Level I or II) (RT level I and/or II) is mandatory.
Knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASNT, API, ASME, ISO, AWS, NAS 410, etc.).
Interpret and evaluate test results to determine defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from industry standards.
Experience in oil & gas, aerospace, manufacturing, construction, or power generation industries.
Familiarity with digital radiography and advanced ultrasonic techniques.
Welding inspection experience is a plus.
Work may involve climbing, confined spaces, and exposure to various industrial environments.
40 hour Radiation Safety Class
