An exciting opportunity exists for an Inspection Supervisor to join our business in Tacoma Washington. The Inspection Supervisor will be responsible for managing the Inspection Department as well as personnel in line with the company goals and objectives. This will be achieved with safety as a priority and to achieve standard cost while upholding our quality and delivery requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise the NDT program and personnel in accordance with Company, ASNT and Military requirements
• Perform internal and external audits in support of the companies ISO 9001 certification
• Lead/Participate in Customer, ASME and ISO audits
• Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager and with the assistance of the Quality/Process Control Engineer, develop, implement & monitor QA department efficiency, training and metric goals
• Identify and document weaknesses and monitor the establishment of preventative measures for improved efficiency and repeatability
• Perform miscellaneous quality/process improvement projects and investigations as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager
• Recommend corrective action(s) to eliminate any potential quality losses through the analysis of work operations, quality records, and customer complaints
• Create, maintain and train QA and Inspection employees to the department manual
Skills:
Qualifications:
• Excellent written (including email) and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and direct the work of others
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Prompt response and solid understanding of production needs and ability to balance with customer requirements and quality standards to build strong relationship between quality and production departments
• 5 years’ experience in the field of industrial Quality and/or NDT Supervision in a manufacturing setting preferred
• Level 2 required in at least 2 methods of the following five: Visual, MPE, LPE, RE and UE. Prefer current Level 3 NDT qualifications; if not currently Level 3, the ability to obtain those qualifications in a timely manner is required
• Able to interpret ASME, ASTM, Military code & customer specs and drawings.
