The Level I Technician Assistant is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Actively assist in radiography and other NDE operations deemed necessary by the lead inspector;
Capable of following all safety procedures set forth by the Company, State and Federal governing bodies;
Maintain and control radiation area;
Effectively meet deadlines established by the Inspector and Operations Management;
Maintain and promote a positive attitude while on projects;
Continuously educate him/herself in all NDE Methods for promotion; and,
Any other assignment necessary to meet Assistant Radiographer responsibilities set forth by the Company.
Skills:
Required:
Valid 40 Hour Safety Radiation Certificate, Trainee Card, State Radiographer Card, or IRRSP Card
Preferred:
Level II MT, PT, UT Certifications
CRT Experience a plus
High School Diploma or GED
Other Requirements:
Able to meet travel requirements
Efficiently carry out supervisor’s instruction
Effective communication skills
Above average computer skills—Spreadsheet and Word Processing software
Able to meet a “Call Out” work schedule
Knowledgeable with OSHA’s General and Construction safety industries
Proficient in problem solving
Punctual
Able to pass FBI background check for T&R purposes
Able to pass Motor Vehicle Record check
Capable of passing Company Drug/Alcohol, Fit for Duty, and Ergonomic Testing with lifts of 60 pounds or more.
