Reporting to the Manager-Ultrasonic & NDT Services, this position entails leadership support of the Ultrasonic Inspection and Testing processes located in the Youngstown, OH area. The NDT Level III Specialist functional role will include review, interpretation, and application of specifications and requirements based on knowledge of codes, industry standards, and other customer contractual documents to facilitate control of the NDT test and inspection methods at company. Responsibilities will also include direct involvement with equipment calibration, product inspection and testing, evaluation and disposition of results, training, and compliance to the standards established.

-Support maintaining NADCAP accreditation
-Participate in training of Level I and Level II production and supervisory personnel
-Support quality and performance audits
-Participate in implementation of new equipment and technologies to advance company in ultrasonic testing
-Maintain effective communications within the NDT areas, as well as Operations, QA, Metallurgy, and Certifications

-Educational and work experience meeting industry recognized Level III NDT Specialist requirements
-Certified to ASNT Level III in immersion ultrasonic inspection
-Capable of becoming certified to NAS 410, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell and various other aerospace customer requirements
-Willingness to support the operations outside of the normal work day
-Experience with multi-zone and C-scan data acquisition is preferred
-Technical Degree and at least 5 years of experience in immersion UT (preferably testing titanium)
-Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
