A solid, stable manufacturer of steering and suspension component is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to manage plant operations.
Our client sells to both foreign and domestic markets. This facility has grown by 35% in 2006 and is planning to expand the plant.
We are searching for candidates with strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as, direct experience in a high volume machining facility. This position is responsible for production planning, resource planning, scheduling, manufacturing systems, problem solving, continuous improvements, machine efficiencies, machine up-time, quality and on-time delivery. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading 75 employees or more and solid experience in a machining environment. Knowledge of high volume production machining equipment such as: CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, transfer machines, dial machines, index machines, production grinding and/or multi spindle screw machines is strongly preferred. Continuing education in management or a degree is also preferred.
Our client is growing and offers career opportunities and advancement within the entire corporation. Many of their facilities are located in Western New York. Retirement, life, health, disability, dental and 2 weeks minimum of vacation will also be offered. Career opportunities and salary increases only come from growing companies. Our client has many long term employees and normally only hires from the outside when there is an employee retiring.
MUST HAVE: a minimum of 5 years of experience managing over 75 employees, solid machining and problem solving skills. Continuing education in management or a degree is preferred.
