Expanding medical instrument OEM is searching for MANUFACTURING ENGINEER / CNC PROGRAMMER to support swiss type CNC lathes. The California division of a large medical OEM is expanding their product offerings.

We are looking for candidates with past experience processing, tooling and programming swiss CNC lathes / swiss type screw machines. This position will focus on the development, validation and product launch of new components. Interested candidates will need good communication skills and the ability to travel to customers in California to work with design engineers in the development of new products. Knowledge of cutting tools, cycle times and swiss sliding headstock CNC lathes is required. The ideal candidate should be able to select the proper machine tool, develop or design tooling package, program the swiss lathe, validate the process and perform machine run off before product goes into production.

MUST HAVE: a minimum of 5 years of experience processing and programming swiss CNC lathes. Candidate will need the ability to take a major project from conception to production. Knowledge of cutting tools, cycletimes and machine tool troubleshooting is also required. We will consider both degreed and non degreed candidates with direct experience. All candidates must have direct swiss type lathe/ screw machine experience to be considered for this fantastic career opportunity. We need experience on Star or Citizen or Tsugami or Nomura and/or Tornos Deco swiss lathes.
