Comply with and support all adopted corporate and local policies and procedures, and the “Integrity: The Spirit and The Letter of Our Commitment” guide. In addition, ensure ongoing compliance to regulatory and customer requirements expressed by applicable law or contract through the performance of technical requirement reviews, which ensure effective and timely incorporation.
Maintain NDE/NDT Level III Certifications in FPI (PT), Radiographic (RT) processes. Other NDE/NDT NAS410 sanctioned and approved NDE/NDT certifications, specifically UT/UTT and Borescope (GE-A), considered a plus but, are not required for this position.
Provide program management leadership regarding evaluation, presentation to management, and introduction of new and existing technologies of NDE/NDT. This includes driving Continuous Improvement using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools.
Coordinate and carryout ongoing training and testing of resident NDE/NDT personnel at all levels. This includes ensuring new and potential personnel resources are developed, mentored and maintained in order to support current and future production needs.
Provide effective communication and support to domestic and global Unison business entities, and their suppliers (travel required should represent 10% to 15% of normal scheduled work time). This includes acting as the Responsible Level III for Unison facilities where internal support for this function does not exist, until such time that a condition of site self-sufficiency is realized.
Provide and maintain proper reports, records and letters in regards to all aspects of the position and ancillary responsibilities. Achieving Certifying Agent approval through General Electric-Aviation, and Technical Representative authorization in accordance with internal procedures.
Occasionally perform NDE/NDT’s on hardware.
Skills:
· BS in NDE/NDT Engineering or equivalent current Level III certifications in expressed NDE/NDT processes per NAS 410,
· Significant technical and practical documented experience in aircraft component manufacturing which supports Level III requirements,
· Demonstrated communication, problem analysis, and problem solving skills,
· Demonstrated ability to document, plan and manage programs (assign resources and timelines).
· In-depth working knowledge of software applications used to formulate and present data (e.g. Minitab, MS: Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desired Experience
· Exposure to General Electric, Boeing, Honeywell, Goodrich systems and technical requirements
· Exposure to metallic: tubing/ducting, machined components, and castings commodities.
· Working knowledge/familiarity with FAA FAR 21, 25, 33 and 145 requirements,
· Working knowledge of Transport Canada and/or Thailand DOA regulatory requirements,
· Exposure to or as a Certifying or Designated Certifying Agent of GEAE SPTC.
· NADCAP NDE//NDT experience,
· ISO9001:2000 / AS9100:2000 working knowledge,
· IQA, RAB or other auditor accreditations.
· Formal Six Sigma training and certification.
